Resize, rotate and adjust a single image
Start with a quick adjustment
Choose Image opens a file from your device. Change brightness, contrast, saturation or blur, and compare the original and edited previews. Choose Original to remove a preset filter, or Reset to restore the starting adjustments and dimensions.
Example: a smaller image for a message
Open a landscape image, keep Keep aspect ratio selected, enter a width such as 480 pixels and choose Apply Resize. The height updates with the same proportions. Check the preview, then choose Download to save edited-image.png.
Know the starting resolution
This quick editor initially fits images within 600 × 400 pixels. The download uses the current canvas dimensions. Increasing those dimensions does not restore detail already lost in the initial preview. For larger output, text, layers or JPG/WebP export, use the photo editor.
Resize or crop?
Resizing changes pixel dimensions. Cropping removes parts around the edges without squeezing the subject. For a square profile picture, use the image cropper. For a printed photo, check the final file in the print size calculator.
Common questions
Why is the download a PNG?
This quick editor saves PNG files, even if you open a JPG. A PNG can be larger despite having fewer pixels. Use the photo editor to choose JPG or WebP and adjust export quality.
Is my image sent to a server?
The editor reads and processes the image in your browser. The editing code does not send it to a server. Advertising and analytics run separately. Download your result before closing the page; editing sessions are not saved.
Can I add text or combine photos here?
This tool adjusts one image. Use the photo editor for text, brush tools and multiple image layers.
