How to use this tool

Set a countdown with sound

Enter hours, minutes and seconds, or choose a preset such as 5 or 25 minutes. Test sound, check your device volume, then press Start. Pause keeps the remaining time so you can resume. Reset stops the countdown and unlocks duration and repeat settings. The maximum duration is 99:59:59.

Example: repeat a five-minute round

Set 00:05:00 and enable Repeat automatically before starting. Each completed round starts another five-minute countdown and increases the completed-round count. Pause or Reset ends the sequence. This repeats one fixed duration; it does not alternate work and rest lengths.

Record stopwatch laps

Switch to Stopwatch and start counting elapsed time. Lap records a split and the total elapsed time without stopping the watch. You can save up to 100 laps in the on-screen list. Pause to freeze the elapsed time, resume to continue, or reset to clear it. Stopwatch and countdown can run together.

Keep the timer available

Keep the page open and the device awake if you need to hear the alarm. Browsers may suspend inactive tabs and sleeping devices. The display catches up when execution resumes, but the sound may be late or unavailable. Fullscreen makes the display easier to see; it does not prevent your device from sleeping.

Common questions

Why did the alarm not sound?

Test sound after opening or reloading the page. Check device volume, silent settings and browser permissions. Closing the tab or suspending the browser stops it from reliably playing an alarm.

Can I restore it after a reload?

The tool tries to save state in this tab’s session storage. When available, reloading the same tab restores the timer and stopwatch. This is not cloud storage or a guarantee across browsers, closed tabs or cleared storage. Timing also depends on your device clock.
